FirstLine ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps users generate personalized outreach messages from LinkedIn profiles. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What data we collect

When you use FirstLine, the extension reads publicly visible information from LinkedIn profile pages you visit, including:

• Name, headline, location
• About section text
• Work experience (up to 3 most recent positions)
• Profile URL

This data is sent to our backend server to generate insights and outreach messages using AI.

What data we store

Locally in your browser (via Chrome storage):

• Your selected role (Sales / Recruiter / Founder)
• Your sender profile description

On our server:

• Anonymous usage logs: timestamp, profile name, role selected, goal selected. These are used to understand product usage and improve the service. No account data, no email addresses, no passwords.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or share user data with third parties
• We do not collect authentication data, passwords, or financial information
• We do not track browsing history beyond LinkedIn profile pages you actively analyze
• We do not send messages on your behalf — you always copy and send manually
• We do not store LinkedIn profile data permanently — it is processed and discarded

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude API — to generate insights and messages. Profile data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• FormSubmit — for the contact form on our website. See FormSubmit's privacy policy.

Data retention

Usage logs are retained for product improvement purposes. No personally identifiable information is stored beyond what is described above. You can request deletion of any data by contacting us.
